I’m Josh Strayer, owner of Home Improvement Services. I began my business in the fall of 2014 because I saw a lack of qualified contractors who’ll fix the average family’s home for a fair price. My Qualifications

I’ve been in the construction industry for more than 15 years. I began my career in landscape construction focusing on hardscape building and landscape planting. From there, I worked for a custom log home builder. This job allowed me to hone my woodworking skills, as well as learn more about home construction, maintenance and repair.

I later worked with a general contractor where I learned more about quality workmanship, materials and customer service. After by working on my own home, I learned how disrupting a construction project can be to daily life. When developing a proposal for work, I try to foresee all possible costs involved in the project to avoid any surprises at the end of it. I also communicate often during the construction phase so you know what to expect and when to expect it.
