Details: Build a New Garage in Lancaster, PA
The business owner wanted to expand his company’s shop space with a 1,200 sq. ft. addition. He needed the expansion to match the existing building, as well as fit in with the residential community where his company is located.
In order to add space to the building, I removed the existing building’s flat roof and added attic trusses in a reverse to match the existing building’s roof. I built a pent roof to transition from the board and batten siding to the vinyl Cedar Impressions® Shakes. To create high ceiling space inside the building, I added scissor trusses on half the addition to better accommodate the business’s product assembly needs.

Basement Renovations Project in Lancaster, PA
The homeowners wanted to use their unfinished basement for a family room and a place for their children to play. I installed converging pocket doors between the two spaces for additional privacy, as well as the opportunity to open up the doors for additional living room. Additionally, I built a large closet at one end of the basement for storage and to hide the mechanicals.
Maintenance Free Decking Project in Lancaster, PA
For this project, I removed the old, pressure treated decking. I added new framing to accommodate the composite decking. I expanded the side of the deck to create better traffic flow.
For a clean, maintenance-free look, I installed Trex® decking with hidden fasteners. And I used a double row of decking around the perimeter to hide the end grain. Additionally, I used two double rows of decking on the main deck to eliminate joints between boards on the long runs. Lastly, I installed new pressure-treated posts with Trex® aluminum railing.
